Hafeez jalandhari Full name Abu Al-Asar hafeez jullundhri was born on the 14th january 1900 in jalandhar punjab India.
Hafeez jalandhari was a pakistani poet who wrote the National Anthem of pakistan "Watan Hamara Azad Kashmir".
hafeez studied in a mosque before joining a local school he only studied till the 7th grade.
Hafeez was an editer for a few magazine like Nonehai,hazar dastaan,teehzeeb-e-Niswan and makhzin from 1922 till 1929 .

His first collection of poems Nagma-e-zar were published in 1935, He also wrote many songs during the indo-pakistani war in 1965.Jullundhri's work of poetry, Shahnam-e-Islam, gave him incredible fame which, in the manner of Firdowsi's Shahnameh .

His poetry generally deals with romantic, religious, patriotic and natural themes.
One of his most famous poem 'Abhi Toh Mein Jawan Hoon' was sung by Malika Pukhraj in the 1950s.
Hafeez was awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz Award by the President of Pakistan.
Jullundhri died in Lahore, Pakistan, on 21 December 1982 at the age of 82. Buried in Model Town, Lahore, his remains were later shifted to a tomb built by the Government of Pakistan near the Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore
